The papers in our gloss creation business card range are coated with a thin layer of pigments or special resins to improve the gloss and appearance of the paper. Our silver, gold and galvanised metallic papers are coated with a thin metallic layer that is applied to the surface. This layer can be made up of aluminium particles to create a silver effect or gold leaf. Pearlescent papers are designed to imitate the look of pearlescent beads, with a shiny iridescent surface. Their coating consists of pearlescent pigments, such as mica or mother-of-pearl particles, which are mixed with a binder.
For your glossy or metallic business card project, it is important to take into account the glossy or metallic appearance of the paper. This means that it’s best to limit the number of colours or finishes to maintain a harmonious balance. In this context, you can consider techniques such as embossing or hot stamping, taking into account the contrast to achieve striking visual effects.
When you opt for a 330-gram paper weight with embossing, it’s essential to bear in mind that these elements will be continuous, with a raised effect on the front and a recessed effect on the reverse. It is important to note that no information can be positioned opposite the embossed area. If you want to keep the reverse side of the card intact, we recommend you choose the duplex range for lamination. This solution will enable you to obtain a robust business card while preserving the integrity of the reverse so that you can include additional information or a complementary design.
